Cosentino Group is continuing to push ahead with the international expansion of its own assets with the opening of the first Cosentino Center in South Africa. The grand opening of the new Center was held last week at an event attended by over a wide representation of the company’s clients and partners, institutional and sector representatives, regional designers and architects and South African media. The event featured live music and various official presentations. The company was represented by Eduardo Cosentino, EVP of Global Sales & CEO of Cosentino North America; Ginés Navarro, VP of Sales for the ROW (Rest of the World); and Neil Sterley, Regional Director of Cosentino South Africa.

With a total floorspace of 3.200 m2, Cosentino’s Johannesburg Center is located in Elandsfontein, an area in the western part of the city very close to Johannesburg’s Oliver Reginald Tambo International Airport.  This Center, the first to be officially opened in the country and in all of Africa and will offer all the resources and spaces typical of this type of facility, with work and exhibition spaces, offices and a training centre. Its storage capacity can hold 10.000 slabs of Cosentino innovative materials.

It should be noted that Cosentino had logistics operators in South Africa already, one in Cape Town and one in Johannesburg itself. Opened between 2014 and 2015, these installations allowed the company to strengthen its presence and establishment through proprietary activities on five continents. With the opening of the Center in Johannesburg, Cosentino is doubling down on its commitment to South Africa as a country and its bet that this region will act as a future lever for growth in the rest of the continent.
