Every month from January to December 2021, Cosentino organised a series of 12 live talks and has hosted 18 outstanding architects and designers from 13 design firms based in Singapore and different parts of Southeast Asia.

The theme of TAB Series 2 (Talks on Architecture and Beyond) was “The Making of Architecture”, discussing the built environment around us. More than ever, architects now play a crucial role in awakening a sense of urgency in prioritising sustainability and circularity.

It has been eye-opening hearing how each of these masters of the craft share their respective, unique solutions on designing and redefining architecture in tandem with the natural environments and culture they are located in, with a focus on the future.
With a different quarterly theme, the second edition of the TAB Series covered a wide array of topics: parametric phenomenology, searching the intangibles, hybrid architecture, social architecture, and so many more. Each of them examining different aspects of the stages of the making of architecture, allowing viewers to delve into their unique design languages, research methodologies, and frameworks through exciting case studies.

We would like to thank each of these master craftsmen for their ingenuity and generosity in sharing their knowledge and experiences with the audience (5000+ globally and counting!) and making the TAB Series 2 a successful forum. It is Cosentino’s hope to raise awareness of the fragility of our planet and to discuss and explore strategies to protect it.

We are also immensely thankful to Yann Follain of WY-TO, who has been brilliantly curating the biannual TAB Series since its first inception in 2019, turning this ground-up initiative into the special forum that it has become today.

We thank the audience who have tuned in for the talks and we invite anyone interested in design and architecture to check out all the amazing talks that we have specially put together at https://bit.ly/3tzFDiu.
