Particle Sinterising Technology is developed exclusively by Cosentino Group and combines technologies from the ceramic industry, flat glass industry and the quartz surface industry.

The commercial launch of Dekton® by Cosentino will be held in the spring of 2013 and is expected to revolutionise the market and become a great ally for architects as it can be used in multiple high-value applications in public and private spaces both inside and outdoors. Its uses and applications ranging from flooring, stairs, cladding, ventilated façades for outdoors and worktops and work surfaces.

Dekton® by Cosentino is a completely innovative product. It is an ultra-compact surface with superior technical characteristics, consisting of a mixture of inorganic materials. It can be used both indoors and outdoors thanks to its resistance to UV rays, and in order to respond to the demand for large formats in different thicknesses, by professional architects, it will be manufactured in a large slab format (320cm x 144cm) with thicknesses of 8mm, 2cm and 3cm.

Dekton® offers decoration in volume and infinite design possibilities. It can be manufactured in colours identical to wood, rust, natural stone, concrete, metal, and solid colours. It is available in a vast variety of textures, such as rippled, leather, denim, slate, brushed or coated.

The initial selection of colours and textures in which the first Dekton collection will be launched in 2013, responds to the intense market research carried out by Cosentino. The first Dekton collection will consist of a small number of colours and finishes.

Later it will expand the portfolio of colours and textures of the brand, adapting to the demands and trends of each market.

The new Cosentino Group Intelligent Logistics Platform is an automated distribution centre which will provide services to subsidiaries and Cosentino customers.

Cosentino Group has invested 16 million euros for the implementation of this platform from which the shipment of Silestone®, Eco® by Cosentino and Dekton® by Cosentino will be organised to all markets where the company operates.

Cosentino’s Logistics Platform will prepare all slab orders with automatic assets, including the transfer of racks and loading of trucks and containers. The Platform will use the control and management software of all the warehouses “WMS” (Warehouse Management System) that will achieve excellence in customer service.

With a storage capacity of 115.000 slabs and 3.300 slabs loaded in trucks or containers in each shift, this sophisticated Intelligent Logistics Platform substantially improves logistics, communication and management with the hubs, Cosentino Centers and customers of the multinational from Almeria.
