Sensa and Dekton combine sophistication, performance, and timelessness at Riserva Golf

Located in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, this 640 m2 apartment was completely renovated, designed by architect Cristina Côrtes, and became the new home of a couple with three children. With a linear layout, five suites, panoramic views of the sea, the Olympic golf course, the natural reserve, and the Marapendi lagoon, the project was conceived to combine spaciousness, comfort, and functionality, reflecting a new stage in family life.

After years of living in a large house spread over three floors with extensive leisure areas, the residents felt the need for a more practical and secure space, adapted to their current routine. The decision to move to the apartment allowed them to concentrate the essentials of daily life on a single floor, without giving up the sense of freedom and well-being. The new home retains the spaciousness and visual connection with the landscape, now integrated into a more fluid and contemporary living experience.

The interior design project began by highlighting the privileged view, which became a central element of the architectural proposal. To enhance this connection with the surroundings, the architect integrated the balcony into the living room and organised the social area into different zones: living room, dining room, TV room, lounge, and gourmet space, creating a continuous and balanced flow. One of the standout features of the layout is the spacious climate-controlled wine cellar, designed not only as a functional area but also as a space for socialising and contemplation.

It is in this environment of elegance and functionality that Cosentino surfaces take centre stage in the project. The choice of materials was guided by the pursuit of a timeless aesthetic, combined with resistance, durability, and ease of maintenance: fundamental attributes for a high-use apartment that accommodates family routines and frequently hosts friends and guests.

The Sensa Macalan quartzite was selected for its natural elegance and the expressiveness of its veining, which bring personality and visual depth to the spaces. The presence of natural stone helps create a cosy and sophisticated atmosphere, reinforcing a sense of exclusivity without excess. Complementing the proposal, Sensa Matira, a protected stone, offers a softer and more refined interpretation, with a balanced tone and striking texture that enhances the sense of comfort in the spaces.

In the kitchen, a space of constant use and great importance in the family's daily life, Dekton Rem stands out on the worktop, combining contemporary aesthetics and high performance. Its wear resistance, combined with durability and ease of maintenance, makes the material the ideal solution for an environment that demands technical performance without compromising design. Integrated into the neutral palette adopted throughout the home, Dekton Rem helps ensure that the architecture and natural view remain the main elements of the space.

The project concept is consolidated in the harmonisation between Cosentino surfaces, noble materials, bespoke carpentry, and carefully selected furniture. Each choice was carefully considered not to compete with the exterior landscape but to frame it, creating a balanced relationship between the interior and exterior. The result is a sophisticated, cosy, and functional home, perfectly adapted to the lifestyle of its residents and the demands of contemporary living.

Thanks to Cosentino surfaces, the apartment at Riserva Golf achieves a precise balance between aesthetics, performance, and comfort, reaffirming how the careful selection of materials can enhance the living experience and transform daily life into a more elegant, practical, and enduring experience.
