SERENDI Design
SERENDI Design created this beautiful residential project in Seattle inspired by the timeless and unique beauty of nature. SERENDI is a Chicago-based interior architecture firm with presence in Seattle and Beijing as well. The female and minority-owned business is committed to excellence and focused on creating forward looking design solutions.
Dekton was the perfect surfacing partner for the project, as this Ultracompact stone mimics the look and feel of natural materials but does not require any maintenance or upkeep. SERENDI was struck by the beauty of the material in a wide selection of colors and finishes, as well as its durability and resistance to scratches, stains, heat, and more.
Three different Dekton colors
When walking through this jaw-dropping home, SERENDI’s vision of creating a space inspired by nature is all around you, and Dekton plays a key role. Three different Dekton colors were specified, each in a different application, making this space as gorgeous as it is unforgettable. Let’s take a tour.
The kitchen is the heart of the home, and Dekton Taga makes this kitchen particularly warm and elegant. Dekton Taga is inspired by the quartzite of the Taj Mahal, reinterpreted to stay on-trend while maintaining the charm of the natural stone. Its grayish tones and crystalline veins can be seen on the kitchen countertop and backsplash, adding a splendid sheen.
Moving on to the living area where the fireplace takes center stage. The fireplace surround is cladded in Dekton Entzo from floor to ceiling, creating a focal point that complements the warm and neutral tones of the space. Dekton Entzo is inspired by Calacatta marble with a realistic structure and gold veins. Dekton is heat resistant and non-combustible, ideal for a fireplace setting.
Finally, we’re visiting the bar area where the bar countertop is made of Dekton Kelya, an elegant shade inspired by dark natural marbles with light streaks throughout. Dekton Kelya brings a touch of elegance, and above all, functionality. The homeowners can make cocktails at ease without worrying about their countertop.
