Set against the stunning backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean, the Live Nation Jones Beach Theatre is one of New York’s most iconic outdoor venues. Located on the South Shore of Long Island, the theatre is known for its dramatic coastal setting and unforgettable performances. For its newly renovated VIP area, project architects Howell Belanger Castelli Architects, P.C., sought a surface material that could stand up to the harsh elements of a marine environment without compromising on aesthetics.
They chose Dekton by Cosentino, a surface known for its exceptional resistance to UV rays, temperature fluctuations, and abrasion, qualities essential for this high-traffic, outdoor entertainment space. A total of 280 square meters of Dekton in the colors Sirius, Kovik, and Kelya were expertly fabricated and installed as 20 mm exterior countertops, including the striking bar top at the Citi VIP Bar and other bar areas throughout the venue.
The client needed a solution that would perform year-round, through the scorching New York summers and freezing winters, while maintaining its sleek appearance. Dekton delivered with a sophisticated, low-maintenance surface that elevated the VIP for concertgoers.
Completed in 2025, this project is a testament to Dekton’s performance in the most demanding environments, offering form and function in this premier live music destination.
