Cosentino introduces the CTQuarry project to the Spanish Office for Climate Change

Madrid, 6 June 2025 – Last Thursday, Cosentino held a technical meeting with the Deputy Director General for Carbon Markets from the Spanish Office for Climate Change, part of Spain’s Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, designated as the national contact point for the European Union’s #InnovationFund.

The virtual session provided an opportunity to present the main objectives and development lines of CTQuarry, a strategic industrial initiative selected by the #InnovationFund as one of 77 key projects supporting Europe’s transition to a low-carbon economy.

CTQuarry involves a planned investment of €90 million for the construction of a benchmark industrial facility dedicated to the production of circular and low-carbon raw materials for the construction, glass, and ceramics sectors. The project integrates advanced sustainable technologies such as renewable fuels, electrification and heat recovery.

Cosentino values the interest and openness shown and appreciates the opportunity to share progress on an initiative aligned with the EU’s climate and industrial decarbonization goals.
