In her most recent project, her own home, Carolina Rusinek, owner of KENISUR, chose Cosentino's materials for both the bathroom and kitchen.
When designing a space, Carolina thinks extensively about its multifunctionality: "Our way of life and habits change in a new phase of life and that affects how we deal with our home and spaces. With a more flexible home, you and your home can grow old together." In addition, an interior must have a timeless basis. Accessories, furniture, and walls that are more easily replaceable can be executed in trend colors.
Creating a timeless, serene space where she and her family can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life is the atmosphere that the bathroom should bring. A pleasant space where they start and end the day. To create a calm basis, she chose the combination of Dekton Grigio and Dekton Nacre for the floor and walls.
The inspiration for the bathroom comes in part from the walnut wood that was already present in other rooms of the house.
The washbasin top and the back wall of the furniture are also made of Dekton Grigio. With its warm nuances and gray undertones, Dekton Grigio fits perfectly with the walnut wood that has also been used for the generous bathroom furniture. This furniture has plenty of storage space, giving the bathroom a lot of peace. The use of Dekton Nacre offers a nice contrast with the other colors and materials in the bathroom.
In addition to the toilet installed in the bathroom, there is also a separate toilet room in which Cosentino materials have been used. Here, Dekton Marmorio was chosen for the floor and back wall, and Dekton Nacre for the side walls. Nacre has a stucco structure with a unique appearance. A beautiful combination that gives a lot of depth to the space. Together with the beige-colored sanitary ware and the playful niche with mosaic, this results in a beautiful toilet room.
"Not only the design and color were important in making the choice. I chose Cosentino materials because they are also sustainable and easy to install (thickness versus size). Moreover, I wanted the same material for both the washbasin and the floor and walls. I could easily realize this with Dekton. In the past, I have often used Cosentino in various kitchen projects, but this was the first time I applied the materials in a bathroom. The result is completely to my liking."
In addition to the application in the bathroom, the kitchen is also equipped with a Dekton worktop, Dekton Arga from the Stonika Xgloss collection. Just like in the bathroom, this color also combines beautifully with the walnut wood.
