In the heart of Warsaw, in the prestigious Varso Tower skyscraper, BaH Studio has created a space that completely breaks the mold of medical interiors. The Voxel Diagnostic Center is an example of how a consciously designed space can not only support advanced technological processes but also nurture patients' emotions and well-being.
From the moment you enter, you're greeted by a reception area that's far from cold, sterile. The focal point is unusual seating made of rounded metal tubes – reminiscent of a modern lobby design rather than a hospital reception desk. Warm, orange neon light discreetly illuminates the space, creating a cozy atmosphere. This is the first clue that we're dealing with a place where form serves function – and both are subordinated to human comfort.
The designers' primary goal was to create a welcoming and calming space that minimizes the stress associated with diagnostic visits. The use of high-quality materials, simple, clean lines, and soft lighting achieved this effect. The interior is unobtrusive – it's supportive. It doesn't distract – it soothes.
The thoughtful division of space into private and open areas facilitates movement while providing patients with privacy where it's most needed. Ergonomics and functionality have been meticulously crafted – with both patients and medical staff in mind. The color scheme is also deliberate. Subdued hues and soft tonal transitions foster a sense of security without being overwhelming. The interior acts as an antidote to tension – creating a calm, neutral backdrop for the entire medical experience.
To create a patient-friendly, balanced space, the designers incorporated several dominant features into the diagnostic center's interior. One of these is a massive, inviting countertop made of light, ultra-compact Dekton Sabbia stone. This color is also used for the wall and floor cladding. This color harmonizes very well with light wood. It has also been used in the diagnostic area – on the countertops and sinks. In contrast to the wood and light, muted colors, dark wall elements in the form of Dekton Laos cladding stand out.
Implementing the project in one of the most technologically advanced spaces in Poland – Varso Tower – required exceptional precision and understanding of the needs of both the investor and future users. The result is a diagnostic imaging center that combines the worlds of medicine and design to a completely new level. This is proof that medical spaces can – and should – be designed with empathy. Here, aesthetics and functionality support not only diagnostic efficiency but also the well-being of everyone who crosses the threshold of this modern facility.
