DKTN® cladding onto ETICS/EIFS system
In our fast-moving world, homes and buildings undergo multiple refurbishments for aesthetic and decorative reasons as well as to increase energy savings.
DKTN® cladding over external thermal insulation systems combines the benefits of a uniform and high-resistant finish with cost-effective and space-saving solutions over new or existing external walls.
Descrizione
DKS system consists of applying DKTN 4 or 8 mm onto a finished EIFS (External Insulation Finishing System)/ETICS (External Thermal Insulation composite system).
EIFS/ETICS are used both in refurbishment and new construction over solid walls as a façade system with continuous insulation, thus improving the energy efficiency and reducing thermal bridges, besides improving the façade waterproofing.
DKTN® 4 or 8 mm. can be used as cladding for ETICS/EIFS with the following indications:
1.- Complete system must be supplied and guaranteed by the ETICS/EIFS supplier.
2.- Supplier must indicate the maximum tile size and weight allowed, as well restrictions on the use of dark colors in case of cladding onto EPS or XPS insulation types.
3.- The adhesive for bonding DKTN® 4 or 8mm to the system must be validated by the same supplier.
4.- For DKTN® installation, all instructions from the system supplier shall be followed, including the joints design between panels.
5.- The use of mechanical safety fasteners, if necessary, shall also be indicated by the ETICS/EIFS system supplier.
