Two of the most international Spanish benchmarks have joined forces in a unique and exclusive musical project, in which David Bisbal ventures for the first time to perform a series of concerts in philharmonic format.
Accompanied by the “Orquesta Ciudad de Almería” (OCAL), conducted by Michael Thomas, and with musical arrangements by composer and musician Juan Cruz Guevara, the Spanish artist will perform a large part of his repertoire as we have never seen it before.
The definition of ‘Filarmonía’ is passion and enthusiasm for music. To this end, Cosentino and singer David Bisbal have once again joined forces to promote a unique project for both of them. David Bisbal Filarmónico by Cosentino is a musical initiative promoted by the company in the clef of ‘Re’. This clef represents very specific values, linked to Almería (Spain) and common to both David and Cosentino, such as effort, the ability to overcome and reinvent oneself, nonconformity and entrepreneurship.
In this regard, the project, which was devised a few years ago by Francisco Martínez-Cosentino, President of Cosentino Group, becomes a unique and singular show of philharmonic character, where the artist will perform his most iconic and well-known songs in a classical-symphonic-lyrical format. In a four concert series in Spain (Almería, Madrid, Granada and Málaga), David will be accompanied by the Orquesta Ciudad de Almería (OCAL), conducted by Michael Thomas, and under the direction and orchestral arrangements by the composer, also from Almería, Juan Cruz Guevara.
The presentation of the project took place at Cosentino City Madrid. The event was attended by David Bisbal himself; Juan Cruz Guevara, accompanied by the first violinist of the OCAL, José Vélez; and on behalf of Cosentino®, Eduardo Cosentino, Global Sales EVP and CEO of Cosentino North America, and Santiago Alfonso, Vice-President of Communication and Corporate Reputation.
As for the artist, this project is a new challenge in his career that, in addition to bringing new and interesting musical discoveries, will reveal a totally different version of David Bisbal that will surprise his fans and the public. In David's own words “I am really excited because this project will allow me to fulfill one of my most desired dreams on a musical level. I am an admirer of such important formats and projects. I am sure that thanks to these concerts, and with the work to develop both with Juan Cruz and with the OCAL, I will grow as a musician, as a singer and I will explore new registers of my voice”.
For Cosentino, this is a new demonstration of its real and tangible commitment to culture, art and society. A groundbreaking and innovative approach to music promotion, by another world-renowned Almería native.
"Our company is constantly striving and looking to join forces. Bringing together talent in search of synergies that are unique and inspiring. After several collaborations and a close relationship for many years with David, it was clear to us that our paths had to cross once again and to do so through an ambitious idea that excites and also promotes the common values that we both share, and which are typical of our homeland. I am convinced that this series of concerts will surprise and excite everyone, and will continue to be held in the future’, said Eduardo Cosentino.
According to composer Juan Cruz Guevara, winner of the Queen Sofía Prize for Musical Composition, ‘we are facing a challenge from a musical, orchestral and production point of view. Yet at the same time it is fascinating and very exciting to give a new approach to a long list of songs that are already part of popular culture, not only in Spain but also on an international level. Working with a professional like David is a pleasure and, in this philharmonic concert format, we will all rediscover him in a unique way”.
