Cosentino at Madrid’s XIV Architecture Week

Cosentino collaborates with the fourteenth edition of Madrid Architecture Week 2017. From the 29^th of September to the 8^th of October, the Spanish capital becomes a centre pole for architecture with this initiative organized by the Official Architects Association COAM in collaboration with Madrid City Hall. The title for this edition of the Architecture Week 2017 is "Madrid-Paris / Paris-Madrid". With the objective of creating awareness about architecture and urbanism, and with the aim of sharing values around these concepts with society, the city of Madrid will host during these days exhibitions, conferences, visits to architecture landmarks, and diverse activities for adults and children. Cosentino City Madrid showroom, located in the street Paseo de la Castellana 116, will be part of the program hosting visitors on the 28th and 29th of September, and on the 4th, 6th and 7th of October, where the company will open its beautiful showroom to visitors and share information about their innovative architectural surfaces. On the 5^th of October, the awards ceremony of both architectural awards, COAM and Luis Moreno Mansilla will take place. Cosentino has collaborated with its natural stones Blanco Macael, Marron Emperador and Nazari for the creation of the award sculptures. This year, one of the COAM Awards 2017 will be handed out to the book "The luxury housing in Madrid since 1900", written by the architect Daniel Rincón de la Vega and sponsored by Cosentino. The event will take place at 8 pm in COAM's  assembly hall. In the past years Cosentino has participated at diverse international architectural events like the Venice Architecture Biennale, the Spanish Architecture and Urbanism Biennale (BEAU), the Iberoamerican Design Biennale (BID), Milano Expo or Open House Madrid. In addition, the company collaborates with several architecture institutions like: Fundación Arquitectura y Sociedad, Fundación Arquitectura Contemporánea, Scalae Agencia Documental de Arquitectura, I+D+Art project, or FAD and Arquin-Fad. Architects of prestige like Daniel Libeskind, Italo Rota, Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel, Fermín Vázquez and others have collaborated with Cosentino.
