Madrid, 7 October, 2025.- Cosentino's commitment to young talent and creativity in two disciplines closely related to the company: Design and Architecture. This is the mind-set of the international Cosentino Design Challenge (CDC), which this year reaches its 20th edition.
Cosentino City Madrid hosted the official launch event of the new edition, where the two themes that participants (architecture and design students) will need to research in order to develop inspiring projects were announced.
CDC 20 Themes and Schedule
Once again, the CDC jury will be looking for proposals with a focus on real sustainability, the life-changing capacity of design, creativity, innovation and emotion.
In the Design category, the theme will be “Furniture to Promote Wellbeing”, in order to explore the overall ambiance and integrated design, as well as the use of other materials. In the Architecture category, the theme is “Spaces for the Media”, aimed to design spaces tailored for recording and broadcasting content in media such as television, radio, or press.
CDC organization leaves students free to develop their projects according to the competition rules, especially valuing the suitability of the expressive capabilities of Cosentino products - Silestone®, Dekton® and/or Sensa by Cosentino®- to the project. Details of the programme and submission format are explained in more detail here.
The submission period started last 1st October and will end next 1st June 2026. For each category, there will be 3 first prizes of €1,000 each, 3 runners-up, and special mentions by the jury. Find out all the details at cosentinodesignchallenge.org/en/20th-edition/
