Dekton Industrial wins Popular Choice Vote in 2018 Architizer A+ Awards

Dekton Industrial Collection, one of the latest color introductions to Cosentino's ultra-compact surface, was named the Popular Choice Winner in the Interior Materials & Surfaces category in the 2018 Architizer A+ Awards. DeKauri by Daniel Germani was also named a finalist in the Residential Furniture category.
This award from Architizer, the world's leading online architecture database, further demonstrates Cosentino's leadership in both architecture and design innovation within in the surfacing industry. Entries to the Architizer A+ Awards came from over 100 countries and were judged by over 400 distinguished luminaries and thought leaders in the architecture and design space. The Industrial Collection's win in the Popular Choice category truly represents the best of architecture worldwide.
Designed in collaboration with leading architect and designer Daniel Germani, the Industrial Collection, comprised of Trilium, Orix, Nilium and Radium, is intended to be both relaxed and modern through its rough, expressive aesthetic, reestablishing concrete, metal and brick as material protagonists in modern design. To create a rich design with varied subtle effects, the Industrial collection has a never before seen matte-gloss finish.
Unlike the materials that sparked the Industrial Collection's design, Dekton is incredibly smooth to the touch and impervious to the elements, including scratches, stains, UV rays and temperature shock. Its ultra-durable performance makes it ideal solution for an array of indoor and outdoor applications, including countertops, facades, cladding, flooring, stairs and more.
The Industrial Collection embodies Cosentino's continued commitment to sustainability, leading the industry with the most advanced and sustainable manufacturing practices. Eighty percent of the content used to make two of the collection's four colors (Trilium and Radium) comes from excess materials from the Dekton manufacturing process. Cosentino's investment in Research and Development has also made it possible to recycle 98 percent of water used, maintain clean air, support energy efficiency, and responsibly manage waste disposal.
