The revolutionary 4mm Dekton® Slim has been named winner of US magazine Architectural Record’s annual best-products competition, Record Products of the Year. Each year the Record Products competition invites a jury of six professionals to select the best new products of the year, rating entries for innovation, usefulness, and aesthetics. This year’s competition was judged by a highly qualified group of architects and designers, as well as Architectural Record’s editorial team. This award from Architectural Record, a leading source for architects and building professionals, further demonstrates Cosentino’s leadership in both architecture and design innovation within the surfacing industry. In France, Dekton® Slim has been honoured with the award Maison & Travaux in the category “Materials, Structures and Isolation”. These awards celebrate their third edition and are organized by the French magazine Maison & Travaux. The editor Laurena Valette declared, “this new format is extremely interesting, because it offers a new are of possibilities for decoration and design; its lightness and thin thickness make it easier to work with, a great advantage within the construction industry.” Dekton® Slim is a whole new revolution in surfaces in architecture and building projects – it combines the amazing technical and mechanical features that Dekton® is known for with a new and much thinner, lighter and manageable format for applications that require light and high-performance materials. This makes Dekton® the perfect material to use as cladding for furniture, doors or large panels and much more.
