The ICC-ES certification endorses the correct performance of Dekton® ventilated facades according to weather resistance, wind load resistance, interior finish and construction types I, II, III and IV.
Dekton®, Cosentino’s innovative ultra-compact surface for architecture and design, takes a step forward in its level of efficiency and performance for facade applications thanks to the certification granted by the US organisation International Code Council (ICC). This organisation awarded the prestigious ICC-ES certification to the Dekton® ventilated facade system for the US market.
Thus, the ICC-ES certification is added to the wide range of certifications already held by the Cosentino surface, evaluating in this case the correct performance of the Dekton® ventilated facades according to weather resistance, wind load resistance, interior finish and construction types I, II, III and IV. The label has been awarded after an extensive testing process under the American ASTM standard, so that it meets the ANSI market quality specifications.
This certification also ensures that the Dekton® ventilated facade system complies with the regulatory requirements of the International Building Code® (IBC) and the International Residential Code® (IRC) of 2021, 2018, 2015, 2012 and 2009, as well as the Florida Building Code®-Building and Florida Building Code®-Residential standards. As a result, the potential of Dekton® in facade projects can be further developed in the North American market, providing a new guarantee of quality and exclusivity for architecture professionals.
