Eneko Atxa: «Chef of the Year», sponsored by Dekton®
Dekton® once again be present at Reale Madrid Fusión from 28 to 30 January at Palacio Municipal de Congresos in Madrid.
This partnership is very well established since Cosentino has shown its support of the event for twelve editions, both as a sponsor and supplier of worktops via its different products. This collaboration was boosted even further in 2014, the year in which Cosentino also started directly sponsoring the "Chef of the Year" award, a prestigious distinction that Madrid Fusión has offered every year since then. For this edition, the organisation has awarded the prize to Basque chef Eneko Atxa, chef at the Azurmendi restaurant, which boasts 3 Michelin stars. The chef also has two more stars earned by his Eneko restaurants located in Larrabetzu and Bilbao. The award highlights Atxa's constant commitment with the environment and its products, health and sustainability. His cuisine offers flavour, texture and beauty, all of which are endowed with the utmost creativity and innovation. Importantly, though, it always seeks to transmit the tradition and essence of the land: stews and their roots. The award ceremony will take place on 29 January at 1:20 p.m. in the main auditorium of Madrid Fusión. Santiago Alfonso, Vice President of Marketing and Communication for Cosentino Group, will have the honour of presenting Atxa with the award. Moreover, this year's competition will again feature in the kitchens more than a dozen Silestone® and Dekton® worktops in different hues.
