Cosentino, global leader company in producing sustainable surfaces for architecture and design, and Gaggenau, the luxury brand for professional-grade home appliances, are commercial launching the innovative Essential induction set starting since this May in Europe, Turkey and Middle East, and continuing from September in Australia and New Zealand. After several years of collaboration between both R&D teams, this integrated induction cooktop into ultracompact carbon-neutral Dekton® surfaces reaches the market.

The Essential Induction is innovation in its purest form. A cooktop and worktop combined into one resulting in a high design, architectural masterpiece. The achievement is a single surface with no barriers, frames, or gaps. Nothing but a dot, a surface, control knob. Dekton®’s high properties, in 12mm thickness, combined with Gaggenau’s renowned technology and superior performance, allows it to seamlessly integrate into any living space, offering a high-quality cooking experience and the utmost freedom to explore and experiment.

Given the relevance of this innovation, the Essential Induction cooktop integrated in a scenically Dekton® Domoos worktop acted as the focal point of the “The elevation of Gravity”, the Gaggenau’s installation showcased during Milan Design Week 2024 at Villa Necchi's glass pavilion. Essential Induction embodied the concept of gravity, creating a magnetic force that redefines modern-day living and design through the art of reduction.

Available to purchase at authorised Gaggenau retailers, Essential Induction brings any design vision to life with the choice of a wide range of Dekton® worktop colours and finishes, all of which can be complemented with Gaggenau iconic stainless steel or black high-precision control knobs. Below the surface, two different sizes of induction modules can be combined to accommodate any specific needs. Standard 21 cm module accommodates pots and pans between 10 and 21 cm in diameter, while the large 28 cm module is tailored for cookware between 15 and 28 cm in diameter.

To guarantee optimal performance, the induction modules are activated through enhanced surface protectors that magnetically connect to the cookware. Meanwhile, the dot is much more than just a dot. A subtle light that intuitively links the knob to the cooking zone in operation. Not only is it a guide to where to place cookware, its variation in intensity, colour, and state lets the user know if the module is on, if there is residual heat, or if the surface protector is missing. When not in use, it automatically turns off, returning the surface to a space of preparation, serving, eating and a stage for socializing.

Apart from the mentioned markets, the availability will be potentially expanded to other regions in the future based on demand.
