Music flows through Frankfurt together with Daniel Libeskind and Dekton®
May 20, 2016
The initiative “One Day in Life” promoted by the architect Daniel Libeskind, in collaboration with the Alter Oper in Frankfurt, is now a reality. With Dekton® by Cosentino as the main sponsor, this German city will host a cycle of over 75 live concerts this weekend that will be held in 18 different locations around the city.
Iconic sites such as: the Commerzbank-Arena; the “Hochbunker” bunker; the metro tracks of the city’s central station; and the Sigmund Freud Institute, among many others. These will serve as unique stages for performances featuring renowened musicians and ensembles such as: the pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard; the violinist Carolin Widmann; and the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra.
Cosentino, via Dekton® – its brand of ultra-compact surfaces – and within the framework of its long and close relationship with Libeskind, is collaborating on this project; also of special importance is the “Musical Labyrinth” installation located in the Alter Oper plaza. 80 customised Dekton® slabs in the colour “Sirius”, measuring a total area of 289m2, recreate an imaginary map of the city indicating the 18 places where the “One Day in Life” concerts will take place.
