Representatives of the Spanish Parliament Visit Cosentino as Part of the Parliamentary Business Program

Cantoria (Almería), July 2025 – As part of the Parliamentary Business Program (PEP) organized by the Círculo de Empresarios, six members of the Spanish Congress and Senate visited Cosentino’s facilities and a white marble quarry in Macael. The goal was to gain firsthand insight into the company’s industrial model, its commitment to sustainability, and its innovation projects.

During the visit, the public representatives toured Cosentino’s Industrial Park, visited the Dekton production plants, the R&D&I Center (Inspira Hub), and held an institutional meeting with CEO Pilar Cosentino, who emphasized:

“For Cosentino, it is essential to bring institutions closer to industrial reality. This visit allows us to share our vision of sustainability, innovation, and commitment to the environment, and to hear firsthand the concerns of the legislative sphere.”

The Parliamentary Business Program (PEP) is an initiative developed by the Círculo de Empresarios since 1987, aimed at bridging the gap between the business world and the legislative domain. Through short stays at leading companies, members of Parliament gain direct knowledge of industrial processes, management challenges, and sustainability strategies.

One of the highlights of the visit was the presentation of the CT Quarry project, a pioneering circular economy initiative that will transform more than 100,000 tons of industrial waste annually into sustainable raw materials. With an investment of €90 million, it has been selected by the European Union’s Innovation Fund as one of the most innovative decarbonization projects.
