“Speedforms in the Garden” by Cosentino and Pininfarina
December 10, 2018
Cosentino announces its collaboration with Pininfarina, the internationally renowned design house and emblem of Italian style.
Together at CASACOR Miami they debut the outdoor project “Speedforms in the Garden”.
The installation spans three different spaces including a sculpture garden, benches, and a deck with a bar.
The spaces illustrate the progression from the natural to the engineered. Each of its nine pieces, prodigious in both scale and impact, highlight the opposing forces of nature and technology through a blend of world-class craftsmanship and engineering.
Paolo Pininfarina, Chairman of Pininfarina: “Pininfarina has designed a space where each element of the installation is a protagonist in the story of progression from the natural to the engineered. Cosentino materials played an integral role in bringing Pininfarina’s vision to life, while also speaking to the brands’ shared passion for family heritage and innovation.”
Three sculptures, representing the natural in form and material, were crafted from Cosentino’s natural stone product Marble Blanco Macael — a homage to Cosentino’s beginnings with its very first quarry in Almeria, Spain.
For the benches and bar, Cosentino armed the Pininfarina team with Dekton®, an ultra-compact architectural surface with advanced technical properties and unparalleled durability.
Eduardo Cosentino, CEO of Cosentino North America and EVP Global Sales, Cosentino Group: “We saw CASACOR Miami and this pairing with Pininfarina as the perfect opportunity to showcase Dekton’s beauty and versatility in an interactive fashion. Pininfarina carries a tremendous legacy and heritage when it comes to iconic design and Cosentino is thrilled to collaborate with another family-owned company at the forefront of innovation in its own category,”.
“Speedforms in the Garden” will be located outside CASACOR Miami from November 30th to December 16th, 2018.
