Sunlit Days closes 2021 full of awards in the United States

In addition to the five prizes already announced in the middle of 2020, Sunlit Days has obtained three new awards given by Interior Design and Architectural Record magazines, as well as the GOOD DESIGN Award.

The innovative Sunlit Days by Silestone® collection has completed a 2021 where its differential commitment to the return to colour has been recognized by both North American professionals and critics, as well as by the most relevant architecture and design magazines in the US.

Reaching a milestone in the industry, in the same year Sunlit Days has been awarded by eight of the most prominent American publications and entities specialized in design and architecture. Recognitions that assess product innovation, its excellence as an application in kitchens and baths, and being a benchmark for the entire segment of surfaces.

To the already published awards that the collection received from Architectural Digest, Kitchen & Bath Business, The Architect’s Newspaper, Architizer and ARCHITECT magazines, is added the distinctions granted by Interior Design, Architectural Record and the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design.

Now celebrating its 16th year, Interior Design's Best of Year has become the ultimate measure of excellence, showcasing what's happening today in every category of design while simultaneously setting the bar even higher for the future. 2021 Architectural Record Product of the Year

Sunlit Days won the Record’s Best Kitchen & Bath Products of 2021. Each year, the Record Products competition invites a jury of six professionals to select the best new products of the year, rating entries for innovation, usefulness, and aesthetics. “The carbon-neutral Sunlit Days collection promotes responsible specification and has a beautiful range of ‘on-trend’ colors that feel youthful and modern,” says James Cull, Rottet Studio design director and associate principal.

2021 GOOD DESIGN Award

Sunlit Days takes home the title of 2021 GOOD DESIGN in the Bath & Accessories category. These are the oldest and the most prestigious Awards Program organized worldwide founded in Chicago in 1950 by the former MoMA curator Edgar Kaufmann, Jr., together with such pioneers in modern design as Charles and Ray Eames, Russel Wright, George Nelson, and Eero Saarinen. GOOD DESIGN honours the yearly achievements of the best industrial and graphic designers and world manufacturers, and The Chicago Athenaeum continues the organization of the program to create a revived awareness about contemporary design and to honor both products and industry leaders in design.
