In the 45th edition of ARCOmadrid, the Guest Lounge once again becomes a space for reflection beyond its function as a meeting area for collectors, gallery owners, professionals, and art enthusiasts. The 2026 project, titled 350,000 Ha and signed by Manuel Bouzas alongside the salazarsequeromedina collective, proposes an architectural interpretation where memory, regeneration, and ecological awareness intertwine. The proposal stems from a clear, necessary, and impactful gesture: constructing the space using wood recovered from Galician forests and the north-western peninsula affected by last summer's fires. In this context of conscious materiality, Cosentino contributes by providing surfaces that engage with the conceptual proposal, enhancing the experience.

With the support of FINSA as the main sponsor, the Guest Lounge is conceived as a metaphor for rebirth. The wood, in its various layers—from bark to 0.3 mm veneers—constructs a narrative about circularity, resourcefulness, and a possible future, in dialogue with the central theme of the edition, ARCO2045, which looks to the future.

Ēclos Legnd: the gravitational centre of the space

One of the key elements is the circular bar made with Ēclos Legnd, which acts as the core of the Guest Lounge. The enveloping geometry of the piece creates a fluid meeting point, consistent with the idea of community and regeneration that underpins the project.

Ēclos is a new generation of mineral surfaces developed with Inlayr® technology, a layered system that offers advanced resistance to heat and intensive use, as well as being free of crystalline silica. In an environment like ARCO, where use is constant and demanding, this technical feature is essential.

The Ēclos Legnd colour, part of the Eclectic Veins collection, features earthy veins and deep tones that symbolically connect with the project's narrative. Its fluid composition brings a serene, almost geological elegance that complements the reclaimed wood and the warm atmosphere created by the monumental 'hearth' that lights the space.

Adding to this central piece is an Ēclos Legnd table measuring 465 x 120 cm, designed as a surface for meetings and conversations. Its chromatic depth unfolds horizontally, reinforcing the idea of an interior landscape already suggested by the bar.

Dekton Laurent and its dialogue with wood

The space is completed with six Eidos model tables by Actiu, clad in Dekton Laurent. The contrast between the dark background and the golden veins of the material introduces a more intense and graphic dimension to the overall palette.

Dekton, an ultra-compact high-performance surface, provides chromatic stability, resistance, and precision in finishes, qualities that allow these pieces to be integrated into a high-traffic environment without compromising on a sophisticated presence.

Overall, Cosentino's participation in the Guest Lounge at ARCOmadrid 2026 goes beyond providing materiality, contributing to reinforcing the narrative of the project signed by the architects. In a space that speaks of devastation and rebirth, material becomes language.
