Located in the city’s historical zone, the building has a volume that is determined by its surroundings, resulting from a prolongation of the axes of nearby constructions and adapting to their scale.

Kult is composed of several pieces, incorporating 14th-, 16th-, and 20th-century buildings, along with two new structures, in a single project, and maintaining the idea of continuity and unity in the resulting complex. Special efforts went into preserving the style of the preexisting buildings, particulating the detailing of facades. Yet a coherence between the different styles is achieved, and with that, a unitary image. The cultural center contains 1400 m2 and the program it houses includes spaces for events and exhibitions, the local archives, a tourist information office, and educational spaces.

The building exteriorly addresses the rural surroundings, but the interior image differs completely, presenting a concrete structure that is left exposed with a wooden texture, and yellow details at certain points. For illumination, central openings in the atrium and the courtyard ensure that lighting is natural and serves to help visitors find their way through the building.
