The aim of the refurbishment is to bring this mid-20th century building back to life, retaining the key elements of a bar that is now a home

In addition to the original position of the bar - transformed into a kitchen island - the internal structure of the space has also been maintained. The corridors divide the daytime area by means of two porticoes that structure the main space and define a continuous line that integrates the kitchen, living room, dining room, study and terrace on the first of the two floors of the house. The concrete paving on both floors unifies the wooden fronts and the exposed brick.

An open courtyard facing north-east reflects the typical structure of the houses in the area and allows the interior to be cooled by cross-ventilation. At the same time, the exposed brickwork of the party walls provides insulation and blends in with the neutral tones of the house.
