Villa Nöhmer is a geometric precision interplay between its volumes and the landscape of the Croatian Adriatic coast. The residence combines a clean-lined façade with an interior designed to integrate comfort and durability. The exterior is organised through a play of overlapping planes that highlight the different levels of the residence. The project required the envelope to be resistant to the Mediterranean climate (intense sun, humidity, and temperature variations) without compromising aesthetics. Therefore, a ventilated façade system clad in four Dekton colours was chosen: Danae, Grafite, Nebbia, and Ceppo.
A façade that combines shades
The combination of shades creates a refined contrast between warm and cool tones, from soft beige to dark grey, including surfaces inspired by limestone and traditional terrazzo. Dekton Danae brings brightness and continuity to terraces and entrances; Dekton Grafite introduces a deep tone that enhances the volumetry; Dekton Nebbia softens transitions with an intermediate grey with a limestone appearance, and Dekton Ceppo adds texture with its visible grain, evoking traditional stone materials.
The result is a contemporary and timeless façade that meets aesthetic and technical criteria: UV resistance, colour stability, and minimal maintenance requirements. One of the main challenges of the project was achieving visual balance between the different tones and maintaining perfect alignments on large-format surfaces.
The choice of Dekton allowed precise installation and facilitated the handling of pieces during construction. Additionally, façades clad with Dekton come with a 25-year warranty for ventilated façade applications, covering manufacturing defects and material failures as long as installation, maintenance, and project registration conditions are met.
The same material coherence in the interior
The interior of the villa continues with the same material coherence. Here, the protagonist is Dekton Danae, applied to floors, furniture, and the pool area. Its warm tones evoke natural stone and create a uniform and serene atmosphere, ideal for articulating everyday spaces. The 290 m2 of interior flooring and 180 m2 in the pool and staircase area ensure visual continuity and a high level of resistance to traffic, humidity, and temperature changes.
In the bathrooms, custom washbasins in Dekton Danae combine elegant design with resistance to humidity and ease of cleaning, reinforcing the idea of practical luxury designed to last. The same finish also clads shelves and auxiliary elements, consolidating colour uniformity in the most private areas of the residence.
A sophisticated counterpoint
To provide contrast, Dekton Kelya was used in certain interior claddings. Its dark tone, inspired by slate with irregular veins, introduces a sophisticated counterpoint to the neutrality of Dekton Danae, especially in the living area and some vertical details. The dialogue between both materials enhances the overall elegance without breaking continuity.
The kitchen, conceived as an open space towards the exterior, is resolved with dark surfaces that combine functionality and aesthetics. On the island, Dekton's technical qualities ensure resistance to heat and scratches, essential in an intensive-use area. In the living room, Dekton Grafite and Dekton Kelya panels frame the television and fireplace area, achieving a sober composition that enhances the furniture and natural light.
