This newlywed couple purchased their first home and was eager to make it their own, starting with the kitchen. The existing design was outdated, small, and lacking charm. They were ready for a new kitchen that felt bright and clean. To bring their framehouse style vision to life, they enlisted the help of the talented Sorraya Guillaume at Eskae Interiors, who, with a few modifications, transformed the kitchen into an elegant retreat.
Then, to create the farmhouse look, the designer used a palette of creamy whites and subtle taupes, adding hints of traditional elements and natural materials. Each material was carefully curated to exude a refined and simplistic look - from the Blanc Élysée countertops to the contrasting oak and white cabinets. Additionally, a decorative hood was created to give the kitchen a unique edge that aligned with the desired aesthetic.
First on the list was optimizing the space by removing the peninsula and replacing it with a small island in the center. This made the space feel more open and gave the client a heart to cook, eat, and entertain together, while also providing extra storage solutions.
The countertop material had to be just right: a white surface with a touch of veining throughout. Something that was not too plain, but also didn’t distract from the classic simplicity of the design. In comes Silestone Blanc Élysée, a delicate lattice of gold, gray, and copper veins running through a bright cream canvas.
The client was also particular about a surface that was durable and long-lasting. With its stain and scratch-resistant properties and minimal maintenance, Silestone was the perfect match on both a visual and performance level.
