The Factory Diamonds and Jewellery by Ribas stands out as a jewellery institution in the Lithuanian city of Vilnius. Founded eight years ago by Dana Ribas, the only Baltic member of the prestigious Israel Diamond Exchange, the company now exhibits its own diamond jewellery collections, collaborates with the world-renowned high jewellery brand Messika and sells diamonds for investment purposes.
Naturally, its stores match the quality of its products. In 2016, the first location of The Factory Diamonds and Jewellery by Ribas debuted on Stiklių Street in Vilnius, soon followed by three more openings in Kaunas, Klaipėda and Palanga in 2021. Now, the flagship store has undergone a revamp led by Monika Noreikienė from interior design studio Menas Gyventi.
Dekton Lucid: contemporary elegance
“The most beautiful aspect of this project is the pair of Cosentino surfaces with gold-coloured metal accents. The edges of the counters are perfectly in line with the vision of the project, gracefully framing the static shape of the tops and offering an exceptional sense of luxury,” explains Noreikienė.
The designer refers to the opulent Dekton Lucid, a soft cream colour with a blend of gold and blue undertones, full of nuances, reflections and flashes of colour. It harmoniously complements the colours of the walls and ceiling, which were left unchanged during the renovation due to the building’s heritage status in the historic city centre. “We had to go for soft tones, enriched with pale greys and sandy shades,” recalls the expert. And that’s exactly what Dekton Lucid offered.
“Cosentino’s ultra-compact surface is unique for its organic and light patterns. Its wide range of designs and colours gives the designer the freedom to create any style of furniture and to integrate all the details and accessories,” she continues.
Ideal for creating bespoke furniture
In fact, Noreikienė was drawn to Dekton’s versatility in creating ad hoc pieces for the project. “It is a material that lends itself well to design and can be used for any type of furniture or decoration, making it unique. It is an excellent surface because its resistance makes it suitable for use in both public and private projects,” adds Noreikienė.
The interior designer points to Dekton’s exceptional durability, which means it can withstand the impact of diamonds without a scratch. In her own words, “its durability, the incredible harmony of its patterns and its quality” were the main reasons for choosing this Cosentino product for the lavish headquarters of The Factory Diamonds and Jewellery by Ribas.
