Vandenbalck Eyewear: a luxury interior experience in the heart of Leuven

In 2025, Vandenbalck Eyewear open its doors at Bondgenotenlaan 50 in Leuven. This high-end eyewear concept, designed by Wave of Engagement, offers not only an exclusive collection of eyewear, but also an interior that exudes luxury, modernity and warmth. With thoughtful design and high-quality materials, including Cosentino's Dekton in the color Nacre, this space becomes a perfect combination of aesthetics and functionality.

The project started with an empty retail space, which was completely transformed into a modern, high-end eyewear boutique with an examination room and a workshop.

The designers were given the challenge of creating a contemporary setting where luxury and functionality go hand in hand. The chosen style combines clean lines with warm accents and subtle luxury details, creating a unique shopping experience.

What makes this project special is the attention to refined architectural details. Eye-catchers include the illuminated ceiling, elegant entrance arches and drawer units in marble veneer.

Cosentino's Dekton in the color Nacre was chosen for the floor finish, the bench in the sales area and the stairs to level -1. This material was selected not only for its aesthetic qualities, but also for its functional advantages.
