Cosentino celebrates category-leading innovations and previews new sustainable collections at KBIS 2023

Cosentino’s modern 3,500 square foot booth design showcases the latest Silestone® and Dekton® collections and 2023 product previews

Cosentino Group, the Spanish global leader in the production and distribution of innovative and sustainable surfaces for the world of architecture and design, reveals forward-thinking, sustainable designs across its Silestone® and Dekton® portfolios, including innovative collections by leading interior designers Daniel Germani and Claudia Afshar, at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Las Vegas, NV from January 31- February 2, 2023.

Since its first presence in 1998, Cosentino has been the longest-standing European company participating in KBIS. Earlier this year, Eduardo Cosentino, CEO of Cosentino America and EVP of Global Sales for Cosentino Group, was named to the board of the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), the promoter of the show, further strengthening the relationship between the industry leaders.

Key introductions featured at the show include Dekton Pietra Kode created in collaboration with renowned designer and architect Daniel Germani. Launching in early February, the collection reinterprets the timeless beauty of three classic Italian stones: Vicenza, Travertine and Ceppo di Gré. Pietra Kode features seven rich shades and textures that are reminiscent of Italian architecture including:

  • VK01 Nebbia is inspired by the texture of Grigio Alpi, with a fine-grained white creamy base dotted with warm taupe.
  • VK02 Avorio features a light beige shade in an extremely natural finish inspired by the Avorio stone, an Italian material characterized by the presence of fossil shells.
  • VK03 Grigio boasts a gray shade with warm nuances reminiscent of the beauty of Palladian architecture. With a play of gray with warm accents, it blends perfectly with creams, woods and taupe colors.
  • VK04 Grafite combines a mix of black and gray interspersed with whitish and reddish cloud-like patches, channeling the texture of dark, fine-grained limestone.
  • TK 05 Sabbia reinterprets Italian Travertine, cut with a vein in its thread that flows through the pieces in a disorderly and colorful way making it perfect for rustic or natural environments.
  • TK 06 Marmorio takes cues from Travertino Navona, a natural stone found east of Rome. Its porous striped structure gives an elegant, bright and lightweight look to any design.
  • CK07 Ceppo embraces the essence and distinctive structure of Ceppo di Gré stone. The unmistakable pebbled pattern is ideal for both indoors and outdoors, with a design ideal for classic, contemporary or industrial aesthetics.

“This collaboration has been three years in the making, and I couldn’t be more excited to preview the collection at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show,” said renowned designer and architect Daniel Germani. “I’ve always been inspired by Italy, and have dedicated the past few years to research and travel to best pay homage through this collection, with the goal of “decoding” these classic stones to breathe fresh, contemporary elegance back into historic Italian materials. Pietra Kode is a timeless collection full of understated beauty and I look forward to seeing how designers use it to support their own design vision.”

Also previewing at the booth is a new Dekton collaboration with high-end designer Claudia Afshar. Focusing on Claudia’s signature style of natural textures, it is an exploration of geometric shapes containing detailed structures at small scales. Available in five existing Dekton colorways, in both matte and grip finishes and two thicknesses, the series features fluting options that deliver a contemporary look and a multitude of applications for both indoors and out.

In 2022, Cosentino celebrated a major milestone in its sustainability journey: manufacturing 100% of all Silestone colorways with HybriQ® by Silestone technology, revolutionizing the quartz surfaces and engineered stone industry. In addition to previewing 2023 Silestone launches, three of the latest Silestone collections made with HybriQ® are showcased at the booth including Sunlit Days, Cosentino’s first-ever carbon-neutral collection, the marble-inspired Ethereal collection, and the Evita Bathroom Sink, made from a single piece of Silestone.

“Cosentino continues to leave a mark as a leader in areas of innovation and sustainability, and to look at all of the accomplishments we have made as a company, together with other industry leaders, is remarkable,” says Eduardo Cosentino, CEO of Cosentino North America and EVP of Global Sales. “Our newest Silestone and Dekton portfolios, and upcoming collaborations with leading interior designers, showcase our forward-thinking approach to creating sustainable surface materials that enhance spaces both indoors and outdoors.”
