Cosentino Hosts First-Ever C.NEXT Designers Summit: An Inspiring experience for the interior design community

Cosentino Group, the leading global company in the production and distribution of innovative surfaces for the world of architecture and design, proudly launched the first-ever CNEXT Global Design Summit, bringing together over 140 of the most talented minds in the industry to discuss the themes and innovations shaping the future of design. 

The CNEXT Global Design Summit took place from January 30 to February 2, 2022 at the Nizuc Hotel in Cancun, Mexico. The event featured programming led by renowned experts including VERANDA’s Editor-in-Chief, Steele Marcoux and House Beautiful’s Director of Editorial Special Projects, Carisha Swanson; and activations by industry-leading brands such as James Martin Vanities, Arteriors, BauTeam, BeDesign, Benjamin Moore, Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens, Kohler, Miele, Perlick, PITT Cooking, and Studio M Lighting. With a blend of curated sensory experiences and educational panels that fostered creativity and learning across topics like sustainability, global design trends, entrepreneurship, growing your business, and more, CNEXT Designers sought to inspire with a robust yet balanced programming schedule.  

Programming highlights included: insights from keynote speaker David Thurston, Founder of Pulp Riot, on his entrepreneurial journey and road to success; bringing wellness and happiness into the home through intentional design; growing your business through kitchen design; how strategic partnerships can evolve your brand with Nina Magon; how to design eye-catching products with Daniel Germani; and more. Bringing together top executives for a discussion on the future of product innovation and sustainability, the “Stewarding Your Clients Toward Greener Decisions” panel also featured insights from industry leaders, including Valentin Tijeras, Cosentino’s Global Director of Product and Research & Development, Ratish Namboothiry, Kohler’s Director of Innovation for Good & Sustainability, and Jan Heck, Miele’s President & CEO.

The CNEXT Global Design Summit was kicked off by Patricia Dominguez, Cosentino’s Vice President of Architect and Design Sales, who shared inspiring remarks about the summit’s mission to offer an outlet for creativity, advice, and guidance after two years of extreme challenges within the design industry. She also touched upon the significance of hosting the event at the Nizuc Hotel; “It is always so energizing to be connected to nature. And as we think about some of the big trends in our industry - wellness, the environment, personal growth - I couldn’t think of a better location.”
