Cosentino sponsored this year’s Architecture & Design Film Festival (ADFF). Held in New York City’s luxury cinema, Cinépoli, architects and designers from around the world gathered to experience a collection of exciting films and documentaries, converse with one another and enjoy fine cuisine.
With the focus on engaging the audience with how architects and designers think, work and create, Cosentino held a private showing of Where Architects Live. With 150 guests in attendance, this film provided intriguing insight into the daily lives of some of the world’s leading designers including Daniel Libeskind, Shigeru Ban, Mario Bellini, David Chipperfield, Massimiliano and Doriana Fuksas, Zaha Hadid, Marcio Kogan and Bijoy Jain. The homes of these renowned architects were showcased, providing insight into each architects’ personal use of their talent. Through the film, different living environments, locations and lifestyles were expressed through each architect’s work.
Some of the most renowned architectural firms in New York City were represented at the event including Richard Meier, Shop Architects, CCS Architecture, TPG Architecture, Gensler and many more.
As part of the company’s sponsorship for ADFF, Dekton by Cosentino, an innovative ultra-compact surface, was featured in the festival lounge where a bar made completely of Trilium served as a beverage station for guests.
Dekton is coined as the universal architectural application material due to its high performance and advanced technical qualities. Known for its superior resistance to staining, scratching, fading and extreme temperatures, the product is an ideal surface option for architects and designers.
