Survivor Rob ‘Boston’ Mariano completely transforms parents’ indoor and outdoor kitchen

We love a good reno, especially if it includes fun celebrities and a feel-good story.

Hosted by Entertainment Tonight’s Nischelle Turner, CBS’ Secret Celebrity Renovation is a new one-hour show where celebrities have the opportunity to surprise a special person who has made a significant impact on their life’s journey with a home renovation.  In the tenth episode,  Survivor winner Rob ‘Boston’ Mariano does just that for his parents, giving them the kitchen of their dreams.

For the countertops, Rob and designer Sabrina Soto visited Cosentino’s Boston Center to explore the broad selection of surfacing solutions available and choose the perfect one. The two walked the 33,000 square foot space weaving through the expansive assortment of Silestone, Dekton, and Natural Stone assortment by Cosentino.

After browsing the many options, Rob selected Silestone Et. Statuario Suede in 3cm thickness, creating a beautiful farm-style kitchen using this soft white surface with subtle shades of gray. For the outdoor kitchen, he went with Dekton Orix in 2cm thickness, which boasts a worn cement look for a cool industrial aesthetic.

The result was breathtaking, and Rob’s parents were thrilled with their new stunning space with light colors, refreshed cabinets, new appliances, and more. They finally got their dream kitchen that was “more than I could ever imagine,” said his mother.
