Dekton and Urban Bonfire create the perfect SoCal outdoor kitchen

Dekton Zenith and Urban Bonfire’s Artesan powder coating finish brought to life David White and Uma Yu’s outdoor entertainment space in their Southern California home. 

When David White and Uma Yu purchased their home in the Woodland Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles one of their priorities was to create a fully functional outdoor cooking, dining, and entertainment space for small and large groups alike. The space is perched on top of a hillside creating the feeling of being suspended while dining while enjoying the stunning view. 

Urban Bonfire got to work to create the perfect space for the couple featuring the bronze undertones of their Artesan powder coating finish coupled with Dekton Zenith pure white countertops. The countertop selection was key in making this space everything White and Yu dreamed it would be and Dekton was the perfect solution. 

The homeowners wanted a pristine white countertop that would stay cool to the touch on hot summer days but worried about the maintenance and the Southern California weather which can be a bit dusty. With Dekton, they could rest assured that their pure white countertop would require no maintenance, withstand any weather or temperature, and stand up to scratches and stains. “Dekton surfaces are well known for being stain resistant and nearly indestructible, so we went for it,” White and Yu shared, “it was an excellent choice. It cleans up really easily, its nice to use when cooking, and of course, looks amazing with the white terrazzo decking”. 

This collaboration between Urban Bonfire and Dekton by Cosentino resulted in a stunning outdoor kitchen that doesn’t sacrifice beauty for functionality. This space embodies the epitome of Southern California living.
