Architectural Digest caught up with Cindy Crawford, international fashion icon, entrepreneur, and Silestone brand ambassador at the Grand Opening celebration of Cosentino’s newest City Center in Chicago. When speaking about upgrades made to her Malibu home during the lockdown, she enlightened us with her favorite way to use Cosentino materials in the home. 

Working with Cosentino, Crawford has gotten a source of inspiration and ideas and explains a product like Silestone can be used as more than countertops or showers, but also a “backsplash that goes all the way up to the ceiling, or waterfall down from a countertop.” Additionally, for her, it is very much about bringing nature and an organic feel into the home, “because in the end, you want your house to feel like a hug.” Crawford concluded, and we could not agree more.  

Business of Home included the opening of Cosentino City Chicago as part of the top industry news roundup for September, highlighting the spaces’ immersive experiences. Retrofit Magazine profiled the inauguration of the showroom, part of Cosentino’s next-generation City Center model, making Chicago the seventh location of its kind globally.

Silestone newest collections: Sunlit Days & Ethereal

This year, Cosentino introduced two new cutting-edge Silestone collections - Sunlit Days and Ethereal - and they have been making waves in the industry ever since. 

Architect Magazine named Sunlit Days by Silestone as one of the “15 Green Products for Architects and Designers,” highlighting the collections carbon neutrality and HybriQ+ Technology, which makes the five colorways sustainably manufactured with 100% renewable energy, 99% recycled water, and a minimum of 20% recycled materials in its composition. The collection is also featured in Architect Magazine’s September issue as a “2021 Sustainable Products Call Highlights

The new Ethereal Collection by Silestone was featured in Kitchen & Bath Business’ (KBB) “What’s Hot” section of the September issue and profiled in their digital publication, KBB online, highlighting the four colorways inspired by the dreamlike beauty of the sky and manufactured sustainably with HybriQ+ Technology. KBB is the official publication of NKBA and KBIS.
