As a leader in the industry, please share a bit about KEIL and the solutions you offer

KEIL is a family-owned German company, founded by Gerda’s grandfather. Having started in a small garage, KEIL has grown while remaining true to its roots: All our products are still manufactured in-house at our KEIL headquarters in Engelskirchen, Germany.

We invented the undercut system, the technically safest and visually most attractive solution for fastening large-format facade panels. Since the beginning of the 1990s, more than 10,000 facades worldwide have been fastened with KEIL. The first facades in the USA were installed as early as 1995. We just recently received the award “Brand of the Century” which awards important German brands for their achievements.

How has the façade industry transformed in recent years and how does KEIL stay at the forefront?

The application of ventilated rainscreen façades used to be a niche but has now become a standard solution. Facade claddings have been developed further and further. Today's ventilated rainscreens are amongst the most successful façade systems. A very good example of this is Dekton, which is highly engineered and has a great performance. KEIL has developed the appropriate fastening solution.

You chose Dekton for the KEIL HQ facade - and we’d love to know more! Why Dekton Kreta and Lunar?

In addition to the elegant timeless design, we were convinced by its robustness, durability and the great service Cosentino offers. The combination of a GIP substructure, a Rockwool mineral wool insulation, our KEIL anchors, and Dekton are a guarantee for an aesthetically and technically perfect façade.

The colors Dekton Luna and Dekton Kreta were used to create this two-toned facade that creates perfect contrast and elegance.

Tell us about your partnership with Cosentino. How are KEIL and Dekton the perfect match?

Dekton is an ultra-compact material, and it is precisely with such a solid material that the advantages of the anchor can be exploited to the full. Our KEIL undercut system allows Dekton to shine in its full beauty. Our anchors merged with Dekton result in a safe, aesthetic, efficient, long-lasting, and sophisticated façade.
