In its three-year partnership, the leading quartz manufacturer will be the exclusive surfacing provider in homes built for injured Veterans
Silestone by Cosentino, the world’s leading brand in quartz surfacing, is proud to announce a three-year National Partnership with Homes For Our Troops, a privately funded 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide to severely injured Post-9/11 Veterans. The partnership will include Silestone surfacing for an estimated 90 homes, contributing both to the home’s design, as well as the Veterans’ ease of living. Cosentino joins the ranks of fellow best-in-class brands like Kohler, Whirlpool and Armstrong Flooring that also support Homes For Our Troops.
Known for its strength and resilience, Silestone will help make everyday life for Veterans and their families a little easier, thanks to its high resistance to stains, impacts and scratches. It also boasts an exclusive bacteriostatic property that helps reduce the spread of germs – a key component in kitchen and bath applications.
“We are honored to partner with such an impactful organization like Homes For Our Troops,” says Massimo Ballucchi, Marketing Director of Cosentino North America. “We are all forever indebted to our nation’s Veterans for their commitment and sacrifice, and are honored to be a part of the team that helps them rebuild their lives in a home best designed for their needs and quality of life.”
Since its founding in 2004, Homes For Our Troops has built more than 241 homes for Veterans nationwide; 85 projects are underway. At a recent Key Ceremony in Rapid City, South Dakota honoring Army Sergeant Wayne Swier, Swier expressed his gratitude to the organization: “I’m very honored and very grateful to have such a beautiful home to live out the rest of our lives in.”
“Because of partners like Cosentino providing high end products, we are able to place more Veterans in custom built homes that eliminate a monthly mortgage payment, and enable our Veterans to focus on their recovery and rebuilding their lives,” says Bill Ivey, Executive Director of Homes For Our Troops. “We’re grateful to Cosentino for joining us in reinforcing America’s commitment to taking care of our Veterans after they return home.”
About Homes For Our Troops
Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) is a privately funded 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide to severely injured Post-9/11 Veterans. Most of these Veterans have sustained life-altering injuries including multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis, and/or severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). These homes restore some of the freedom and independence our Veterans sacrificed while defending our country, and enable them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives. HFOT builds these homes where the Veteran chooses to live, and continues its relationship with the Veterans after home delivery to assist them with rebuilding their lives. Since its inception in 2004, nearly 90 percent of donations to Homes For Our Troops have gone directly to our program services supporting Veterans. For more information, visit www.hfotusa.org.
