In its three-year partnership, the leading quartz manufacturer will be the exclusive surfacing provider in homes built for injured Veterans
Silestone by Cosentino, the world’s leading brand in quartz surfacing, is proud to announce a three-year National Partnership with Homes For Our Troops, a privately funded 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide to severely injured Post-9/11 Veterans. The partnership will include Silestone surfacing for an estimated 90 homes, contributing both to the home’s design, as well as the Veterans’ ease of living. Cosentino joins the ranks of fellow best-in-class brands like Kohler, Whirlpool and Armstrong Flooring that also support Homes For Our Troops.
Known for its strength and resilience, Silestone will help make everyday life for Veterans and their families a little easier, thanks to its high resistance to stains, impacts and scratches. It also boasts an exclusive bacteriostatic property that helps reduce the spread of germs – a key component in kitchen and bath applications.

Since its founding in 2004, Homes For Our Troops has built more than 241 homes for Veterans nationwide; 85 projects are underway. At a recent Key Ceremony in Rapid City, South Dakota honoring Army Sergeant Wayne Swier, Swier expressed his gratitude to the organization: “I’m very honored and very grateful to have such a beautiful home to live out the rest of our lives in.”

Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) is a privately funded 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide to severely injured Post-9/11 Veterans. Most of these Veterans have sustained life-altering injuries including multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis, and/or severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). These homes restore some of the freedom and independence our Veterans sacrificed while defending our country, and enable them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives. HFOT builds these homes where the Veteran chooses to live, and continues its relationship with the Veterans after home delivery to assist them with rebuilding their lives.
