KBB Product Award winner in the Surfacing Category
Kitchen & Bath Business (KBB) - the official publication of both the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) and the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) – named the Silestone Sunlit Days collection KBB Product Award winner in the Surfacing Category chosen by an esteemed panel of judges made up of top designers from the U.S. and Canada. As one of just five category award winners, Sunlit Days was selected based on the criteria of meeting market need, technological advancement, aesthetic merit and innovation, and is among the winners leaning into the growing trend of “refreshing colors inspired by nature and a brighter outlook.”

The Architect’s Newspaper Product Award Winner
Sunlit Days won this award in the Interior Finishes & Surfaces category. Jonathan Tate quoted singing the collection’s praises: “It is encouraging and near revelatory to see such a ubiquitous product reimagined around an environmental position, especially as thorough as this. And to do it while offering a series of finish options that make it a standout in an otherwise staid product category. Remarkably well done on two critical fronts for our industry.” Award recipients comprise building products of all types, ranging from architectural lighting and decorative hardware to cladding solutions and design and construction software.

2021 GOOD DESIGN Award
Silestone Sunlit Days takes home the title of 2021 GOOD DESIGN in the Bath & Accessories category. These are the oldest and the most prestigious Awards Program organized worldwide founded in Chicago in 1950 by the former MoMA curator Edgar Kaufmann, Jr., together with such pioneers in modern design as Charles and Ray Eames, Russel Wright, George Nelson, and Eero Saarinen. GOOD DESIGN honors the yearly achievements of the best industrial and graphic designers and world manufacturers, and The Chicago Athenaeum continues the organization of the program to create a revived awareness about contemporary design and to honor both products and industry leaders in design and manufacturing that have chartered new directions and pushed the envelope for competitive products in the world marketplace.

2021 Architectural Record Product of the Year
Both Sunlit Days and Ethereal won the Record’s Best Kitchen & Bath Products of 2021. Each year, the Record Products competition invites a jury of six professionals to select the best new products of the year, rating entries for innovation, usefulness, and aesthetics. “The carbon-neutral Sunlit Days collection promotes responsible specification and has a beautiful range of ‘on-trend’ colors that feel youthful and modern,” says James Cull, Rottet Studio design director and associate principal.
