2018 Northwest Idea House Features Dekton & Silestone Surfaces

It was Cosentino from top to bottom at this year’s Northwest Ideas House, created in partnership with South Sound Magazine! Located in the premier neighborhood of the Tacoma Country and Golf Club in the city of Lakewood, WA, Dekton and Silestone spanned eight spaces throughout the home.

Interior designer Stefanie Brooks of Tacoma, WA-based Stefanie Brooks Design showcased Silestone in several colors and applications throughout the home, including selections from our Eternal Collection. She worked with builders Wren & Willow, alongside Architecture firm Coyote Design led by Darren Dickerson, to round out a cohesively designed home.

The kitchen is a bright masterpiece in Silestone Eternal Calacatta Gold. At a glance it checks all of the boxes of a classic all-white palette, but details like the unique backsplash tile, distressed stools, and bold countertop veining make it a special place to gather.

Not to be outdone, the “bonus room” features a surprise bar area with durable Silestone Iconic White countertops. This clever, multi use space is the perfect area for a neutral surface that will stay brilliant and complementary to changing seasonal decor.

A master bath in Silestone Statuario provides the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of a busy home. Everyone loves a little spa, and the calm collection of tones in this bathroom serve up a lot of relaxation that will last for decades.

In contrast to the monotone of the master bath, Silestone Cemento brings a bold focal point to a smaller bath, with minimalistic touches in the mirror and lighting. A fun tile floor gives some movement and interest, but the countertop steals the show in the smaller space.

Dekton was also featured throughout the home, but its unique durability make it a perfect fit for some of the homes more high-traffic areas like the mudroom, outdoor kitchen, and activity rooms.

A mudroom doing double duty with a gorgeous farmhouse sink is the perfect place for Dekton Korus. The grey stone-look material keeps the rustic touch of the room consistent while lending a strength of both design and function that grounds the room.

The home saw over 1,000 visitors and all proceeds were donated to Rebuilding Together South Sounds whose work goes toward improving the homes and lives of low-income homeowners.
