Drew McGukin in a design powerhouse with a strong point of view, which came into play as he traveled to Spain with Cosentino as part of our recent trendspotting journey and visit to Cosentino Headquarters.
When asked about what he brought from his home market of New York City to the Cosentino design process he said “NYC is full of stunning architecture juxtaposed against phenomenally fresh and modern new ideas. For me, this translates into a sense of wanting for contemporary, graphic patterning created within the tradition of the Silestone process.”

In Spain, however, Drew explored the softer side of pattern.
“Spain is a beautiful reminder of the need for organic shapes. Barcelona is practically synonymous with Gaudi, and Guadi is the epitome of organic, fluid shapes.”
In the end both of these inspirations came together to guide Drew’s design input for the Cosentino team as they discussed the ins and outs of making the Trendspotter’s design dreams into reality.
