Cosentino Group Presented with the Ponce de León “Company of the Year” Award by Spain-US Chamber of Commerce in Florida

This prestigious award is presented to Spanish companies operating in the US who have prioritized innovation, passion, and growth.

On Friday, November 5, Cosentino Group, the Spanish global leader in the production and distribution of innovative surfaces for architecture and design, was formally awarded the Poncé de León 2020 “Company of the Year” recognition. Presented by the Spain-US Chamber of Commerce in Florida to Eduardo Cosentino, CEO of Cosentino North America and EVP of Global Sales, the award recognizes companies that have prioritized innovation, passion, and growth to be successful in the United States, and was celebrated at the Spain-US Chamber 40th Annual Anniversary Gala on November 5 at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables.

The gala brought together notable authorities including Excellence, Ambassador of Spain in Washington, Santiago Cabanas; Honorable General Consul of Spain in Miami, Jaime Lacadena; Spanish Trade Commissioner in Miami, Francisco Garzón; and Jose Moró, President of Bodegas Emilio Moro and Bodegas Cepa21 and fellow honoree of the Ponce de León “Executive of the Year” award. The event, which was rescheduled from its original date in 2020 due to Covid-19 restrictions, was complete with a cocktail reception, live music, and remarks from the award recipients.

Introducing a new production process and composition for Silestone®, HybriQ® achieves industry-leading sustainability, with a new hybrid blend of minerals and recycled materials and a manufacturing process using 99 percent recycled water, 100 percent renewable electric energy and zero water discharge. So far, the company has launched two new color series with HybriQ® Technology -- Ethereal and Sunlit Days -- with Sunlit Days also marking the first-ever carbon neutral collection in the quartz surfaces and engineered stone industry.

The Ponce de León Awards are awarded annually and are presented within the framework of the Anniversary Gala of the Spain-US Chamber of Commerce in Florida. The Spain-US Chamber of Commerce in Florida is a private nonprofit organization, officially organized by the government of Spain and the United States, that promotes business and international relations. The organization currently has more than 500 members, serving as a link between Spain and the United States and Latin America through its various activities and services.
