Cosentino Introduces Dekton® Slim

Cosentino, the world leader in quartz, natural stone and recycled surface production, introduces Dekton® Slim: an innovative take on the ultra-compact surfacing material, now available in 4 millimeter (mm) slabs.

A game changer for designers and architects alike, Dekton Slim offers the same industry-leading technical and mechanical features with a thinner, lighter and manageable format for installation. At half the thickness of the thinnest slab Dekton previously offered, Dekton Slim offers new solutions for projects demanding high-performance, lightweight materials, such as furniture, cabinetry doors and drawers, as well as backsplash and wall cladding in kitchens and baths.

Created from a sophisticated blend of raw materials from glass, quartz and porcelain, Dekton has a high resistance to UV rays, scratches, stains and thermal shock. Its ease of care is unrivaled; it is quickly cleaned with a damp cloth and no sealing is required. Its large format (3,200 mm x 1,440 mm) covers sizeable surfaces, reducing a large number of joints and in turn, dirt.

“Dekton Slim is a direct result of our R+D team recognizing an industry need, and using their innovation to address it,” says Massimo Ballucchi, Director of Marketing for Cosentino North America. “Designers have envisioned cabinetry and walls clad in Dekton, and Dekton Slim makes it easier than ever before. We hope the introduction of an ultra-thin profile will empower designers and architects even further in both residential and commercial projects.”

Dekton Slim is currently available in nine colors including Zenith, Nayla, Opera, Sasea, Kvik, Sirocco, Kreta, Keyla and Sirius. In addition to the new 4mm slab, Dekton is also offered in 8mm, 12mm, 20mm and 30mm-thick slabs.
