Cosentino, the global leader in the production and distribution of innovative surfaces for design and architecture, is thrilled to extend our ongoing partnership with architect and designer Daniel Germani and Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens to debut new products and collaborations during ICFF NYC in Booth #2647.

The brands will come together to debut JUNTOS – a new concept piece that will be revealed at the show on May 20.

Crafted from ultra-compact Dekton and stainless-steel from Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens, JUNTOS is a creative concept bench designed with man’s best friend in mind for indoor or outdoor use. Beautiful, functional and durable, its materials ensure it will withstand the elements, as well as wear and tear from paws and claws. The benchtop, crafted of Dekton Nilium from the acclaimed Dekton Industrial Collection, provides a durable, easy-to-clean surface for dogs to lounge next to their owners, who can enjoy the padded seat upholstered in Sunbrella® fabric. The bench also doubles as a source of shelter: Its underside, also crafted from Dekton Nilium, provides a cool, shady space for dogs to lounge, while still staying close by.

“I owe this design to our own three dogs at home,” Germani says. “They inspired me to design this bench after years of watching them interact with the furniture in our own home. At our house we behave like a pack; our dogs go where we go. They curl up under whatever surface we are working, eating or entertaining on. I designed this piece to be as functional as it is beautiful, a piece my family and pups can enjoy both indoors and out.”

On Sunday May 20, the durability and fun of JUNTOS will come to life in the booth for a very worthy cause—sure to be one of the most Insta-worthy moments of ICFF: From 10:30 am to 2 pm that day, Cosentino will host puppies from New York City-based animal shelter Bideawee, inviting attendees to relax on the bench and play with some of its four-legged special guests. For every photo posted to Instagram and Twitter of the puppies and JUNTOS, tagging #ICFFxDekton and @CosentinoUSA, Cosentino will donate $1 to Bideawee, working to save pets of all kinds in New York City.

JUNTOS marks Germani’s sixth collaboration with Cosentino and his third with Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens. ASA-D2, a modular outdoor kitchen designed with Dekton and Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens, launched in 2017 and received tremendous acclaim. ICFF 2018 also marks the debut of Tecno Kitchens, a new Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens cabinetry line also constructed with Dekton.

“Of all our our collaborations with Daniel, JUNTOS may be my favorite to-date,” says Massimo Ballucchi, Marketing Director of Cosentino North America. “The product is so unique in both concept and execution, and it really shows off the durability and resilience of Dekton in an application that is new to the brand. We’re really looking forward to the debut of the product at ICFF and can’t wait to see the reactions from consumers and designers alike.”

In addition to JUNTOS the two brands will showcase the new “Tecno Kitchens”, a sleek outdoor kitchen designed in collaboration with Germani, is crafted using ultra-durable, weather-resistant materials, including Dekton countertops and Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens powder coated stainless steel cabinetry. The versatile outdoor kitchen design accommodates a variety of appliances and cabinet configurations, blending high performance functionality with architectural style for an elevated outdoor entertaining experience.

“Tecno Kitchens is the next step in the evolution of the kitchen cabinet,” said Daniel Germani, founder and creative director of Daniel Germani Designs. “The goal with this new kitchen line was to create an elegant outdoor/indoor kitchen solution that will inspire those who use it and transform the way they view and inhabit their outdoor and indoor space. All of the ingredients for an amazing adventure in outdoor entertaining have been brought together in one unified, durable concept, including stainless steel in a powder coated finish, and ultra-compact Dekton. Both bring beauty and sophisticated design elements that command attention.”

Incorporating European styling – including a frameless design, integrated pulls and drawers “hidden” behind full length doors for a streamlined aesthetic – Tecno will be available in a variety finishes, including selections from the Dekton Industrial Collection – an offering that pays tribute to the beautiful imperfections of metal and stone at different stages of age and decay. The ICFF debut will showcase Tecno in Nilium, a subtle mix of warm white and gray shades inspired by oxidized metal. To achieve a seamless look, Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens utilized its innovative powder-coat process to replicate the pattern of the Dekton countertop onto the stainless-steel cabinetry. This newest endeavor builds upon the successful partnership of Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens, Cosentino and Daniel Germani Designs to introduce high-concept luxury outdoor kitchens, like the multi award-winning ASA-D2 modular outdoor kitchen, which made its debut in January 2017.

“Our latest collaboration with Daniel Germani continues to expand the concept of outdoor kitchens beyond traditional offerings,” says Mitch Slater, president of Danver Stainless Outdoor Kitchens, licensee of Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens. “As consumers spend more time in their outdoor living environments, they want those spaces to offer the same level of design as found in the interior of their homes. Tecno delivers on this desire by bringing a sophisticated edge to the outdoor kitchen.”

Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens’ expertise in fabricating stainless steel, coupled with its in-house finishing capabilities, have made the company a leader in manufacturing products that define beauty, style and design in the outdoor kitchen market. Their knowledge of the latest powder coating technologies enables the design community to create statement-making new looks and finishes for a variety of residential and commercial applications.

Similarly, since its launch in 2013, ultra-compact Dekton has transformed the world of surfacing by offering unparalleled design and performance advantages with unlimited applications indoors and out. Due to its technical properties, the material offers exceptional strength; its high resistance to scratches, stains, abrasions, heat, UV, ice and thawing ensure the surface will beautifully endure wear and tear.

“We’re thrilled to see how our latest collaboration with Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens and Daniel Germani continues brings the unlimited and applications of Dekton to life,” says Massimo Ballucchi, Director of Marketing for Cosentino North America. “True to Daniel’s style, this design blurs the lines of indoor and outdoor design in a very elevated, yet provoking way, and we look forward to its success.”
