Cosentino Offers Easy-to-Clean Surfacing Solutions for a Healthier Home
With today’s health concerns causing people to spend more time than ever at home, cleanliness in the kitchen has become top of mind for most homeowners. Countertops, backsplashes and other surfaces can collect spilled liquids, ingredients and fingerprints which can become a breeding ground for bacteria and other pathogens.

Silestone is made up of quartz, one of the hardest natural materials, which makes it resistant to scratching and staining, as well as easy to maintain. While a damp cloth will clean the surface effectively, homeowners looking to take an extra step in the name of cleanliness can use a pH balanced gentle household cleaner, like dish soap or an all-purpose cleaner, or a combination of water, soap and rubbing alcohol. Cosentino recommends that homeowners using more intense cleaning products rinse the surface with water immediately following, as harsher products can damage the resin.
