Cosentino’s Dekton Slim Wins Architectural Record’s 2019 Record Product Awards
Dekton Slim by Cosentino has been named a winner of Architectural Record’s annual best-products competition, Record Products of the Year. Each year, the Record Products competition invites a jury of six professionals to select the best new products of the year, rating entries for innovation, usefulness, and aesthetics. This year’s competition was judged by a highly qualified group of architects and designers, as well as Architectural Record’s editorial team.
This award from Architectural Record, a leading source for architects and building professionals, further demonstrates Cosentino’s leadership in both architecture and design innovation within the surfacing industry.
Dekton Slim offers the same industry-leading technical and mechanical features with a thinner, lighter and manageable format for installation at 4 mm. At half the thickness of the thinnest slab the brand previously offered, Dekton Slim offers new solutions for projects demanding high-performance, lightweight materials, such as furniture, cabinetry doors and drawers, as well as backsplash and wall cladding in kitchens and baths.
Created from a sophisticated blend of raw materials from glass, quartz and porcelain, the material has a high resistance to UV rays, scratches, stains and thermal shock. Its ease of care is unrivaled; it is quickly cleaned with a damp cloth and no sealing is required. Its large format (3,200 mm x 1,440 mm) covers sizeable surfaces, reducing a large number of joints and in turn, dirt.
The winners of the Architectural Record’s 2019 Record Products of the Year will appear in the December 2019 issue of the publication.
