Dekton Roof Deck – An Update from Anthony Carrino

News, Top Life

Excitement is mounting as the bare bones of Anthony Carrino’s roof deck have started to fill out and we’re seeing his vision come together in the next stage of this first-of-its-kind Dekton Project. Just two weeks ago Anthony’s deck boasted only the framework where now he’s laid 12 pieces of Dekton Strato to create a beautiful surface that will define the outdoor urban oasis the he’s planned.

The process of getting the Dekton slabs onto Anthony’s roof was quite dramatic. He used a crane to lift the pieces before placing them on the deck frame. The blue shipping container that will provide an indoor working and recreational space was also lifted in by crane. Antony fitted the shipping container with a 10’ wide accordion syle door from LaCantina Doors to create a flow from the deck area inside, and to also allow natural light into the inventive industrial space.

We look forward to watching the deck will progress as Anthony adds his privacy fencing and continues to develop and add to the existing structures. We can’t wait to seeing the addition of a potbelly stove inside the container, which will make it possible for Anthony and his guests to enjoy the space during all four seasons.

Check back in soon for new updates to Anthony’s Dekton Outside project, and show us your summer outdoor projects using #DektonOutside
