Dekton Roof Deck by Anthony Carrino

News, Top Life, Top Projects

We’re thrilled to announce that Anthony Carrino has chosen to work with Dekton for an exciting new project at his new home in Jersey City, NJ. Anthony is a design pioneer who works in tandem with his cousin John Colaneri as the driving force on three series for HGTV and the DIY Network; Kitchen Cousins, Cousins On Call and Cousins Undercover.

The two-part project starts with Dekton as a gorgeous kitchen island, wet bar and countertop. For part 2, he’s venturing into the outdoors, where he will be using Dekton Strato as decking for what he fondly calls his “Outdoor Urban Oasis.”

Taking inspiration from the city around, he’ll combine the industrial feel of Strato with unexpected details like Japanese Shou-sugi-ban finished cedar wood and a large shipping container that he will transform into a temperature controlled workspace and living area, to create a welcomed retreat from city life.

In true innovator form Anthony has found a way to utilize the unique characteristics of Dekton throughout this new project. The same material that resists heat and wear from cooking in his kitchen will hold up as flooring against the hot New Jersey summers and snowy winters.

We can’t wait to follow along as his blank canvas transforms into a space for entertaining, work, and relaxation. Stay tuned here at Kitchen Chronicles and at @DektonNA to follow the progress of Anthony’s kitchen and deck renovation.
