Kips Bay Decorator Show House Featuring Dekton Countertops
June 1, 2016
The Kips Bay Decorator Show House has been a pillar in the design community for over four decades. Each year talented designers come together to express their most creative designs in a New York City home, while also raising funds for the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club. Portraits of children who have benefited from the organization are on display in the home’s hallways, reminding visitors that the show house is more than just a beautiful display of interior design.

As in previous years Cosentino was a sponsor of the 44th annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House. Dekton was used in multiple applications throughout the home, most strikingly in the kitchen designed by Clive Christian that featured lux metallic accents and ornate woodwork. Glistening Dekton X Gloss in Halo added unmistakable depth to the room with its ultra-reflective finish. Visitors passing through the space were astonished to hear that the surface was stain, scratch, and heat resistant.
This close up shot shows how 3 Dekton slabs were used to create the illusion of a stacked edge on the kitchen island designed by Clive Christian.
Beyond the kitchen island Dekton was incorporated into both flooring and as part of an outdoor kitchen on the roof deck.
