Living With and Loving Dekton

Everyone wants a pristine, perfectly styled kitchen that’s primed for the pages of Traditional Home, but what happens when the cameras leave and your kitchen becomes the hub of every day life?

Our Kitchen of the Year, designed by Laura Burleson Interiors, is exactly such a kitchen. We were beyond thrilled when the owner of the home sent the photo below, featuring her daughter perched atop her Dekton Entzo countertop, gleefully enjoying an arts and crafts project!

This photo exemplifies precisely what we love most about Dekton. Not only is it beautiful, but it is specifically engineered to withstand the messiness of daily life while maintaining its quality.

  • Stain resistance: whether it’s facing a toddler with paint, or a glass of red wine at the end of the day, Dekton’s low porosity means that your surfaces will remain spotless for years to come no matter the spills.
  • Heat resistance: never again will you have to search for a safe spot to set down a pot of boiling water. Dekton is able to handle exposure to high temperatures without worry of marks or cracks.
  • Scratch resistance: You can even cut directly on Dekton (though it might dull your knives!). These surfaces are resistant to scratches and abrasions of all kinds.

At the end of the day, Dekton is designed to work just as hard as you do.
