Silestone (www.silestoneusa.com), the world leader in quartz surfacing, has sponsored the prestigious World Chef’s Choice Award, which was awarded on April 30 to renowned chef Luis Andoni Aduriz of the Spanish restaurant, Mugaritz.
A group of the most prestigious gastronomy professionals across the globe select the recipient for the World Chef Award, which was presented by Santiago Alfonso, Marketing Manager at the Cosentino Group during the 2012 list of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants. The ceremony was held in London’s Guildhall to commemorate the 10th anniversary of these prestigious awards, organized by Restaurant magazine. A number of the world’s finest chefs, various professionals from the gastronomy sector and key international mainstream media attended.
Colorful Silestone trays produced by the Spanish brand were used to serve the guests, who also received an elegant set of Silestone coasters in their gift bag.

This is the second time that the Spanish surfacing company has sponsored “The World’s 50 Best Restaurants.” In 2011, Silestone sponsored the award “The Highest New Entry,” which was given to chef Brett Graham’s London restaurant The Ledbury.
The list of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants is compiled by “the Academy”, a group of more than 800 international leaders in the restaurant industry from 27 different regions worldwide.
